Fox fact #9: Females give birth to 3-12 cubs. Newborns have closed eyes and woolly dark grey hair. In two weeks the offspring open their eyes and can eat pre-digested meat, and by the age of 5 weeks they go out of the den and play. They are independent at the age of 5 months.
